I have to hit the unlock button several times on mine to get the locks to actually release, is the actuator the culprit? When I bought my car back in '98 it did have an aftermarket alarm on it that controlled the door locks. It was disconnected to some extent since it wasn't working well and activating the starter kill and got to the point after attempting to disarm it, it would still prevent the car from starting. This was 10 years ago so my memory is hazy, but I believe I a wire that didn't look factory that was going to the starter that I cut and didn't have the starter kill problem anymore. So the system still has power, but the starter kill and the siren have been disconnected. Do you know if maybe the alarm is interfering or are weak actuators inhibiting the lock from fulling releasing automatically? When I get the car here (Lord I hope within a month or two) tracking down all of the components of the alarm will be removed as one of my first projects.

It may be the actuators, sometimes over time they get corroded inside causing them to not pop up all the way.

That's about what I figured. I'm going to end up replacing damn near everything on this car once the restoration gets going.
