Not simply replace the winhsield either...The pinch weld was broken and a little rusty so now that has to get fixed before the windshield can be put in...We are talking a lot of $$ here. No insurance claim...kids where caught and heading to court, but if I dont get paid by them for the damages looks like I will be heading to small claims court... Wish me luck :(

dam that sucks - i hate it when others don't have any respect for other peoples property - man that really sucks - i hope court nails these kids good and you get the money needed to fix the ride - that is such a bummer and i feel for you bro

Thanks man I am really bumming out especially with the bad news comming, I am still waiting to hear from the body shop. The worse part is Sunday is my B-day and I was suppose to have my body and paint work done this weekend! Now all the money I had saved up for that project is going to this because of some damn kids!

If thats what it takes to get these punk ass kids (and their parents) to reimburse you- do it man. Id want a couple shots at em though cuz obviously mom and dad are doing a bad job.

Life can be a b*tch sometimes. But atleast you didn't have the body work done b4 this happened.

Little bit of an update:

Car is at a local Body Shop luckily for me its the one we get our police cars worked on from my job or I would not be able to afford the repair bill. The pinch weld on the drivers side of the car was broken during the vandalism and the mixture of the rust that was there the thing fell apart. After getting the windshield out they found that there needs to be some body work done around the windshield on both the drivers side and passenger side. Which means a lot of sandblasting, sheet metal and welding :(. The repair bill without a windshield is $798.20 and the glass is $140 installed, total of $938.20:eek: that these kids have cost me to get my baby back... The car should be done Wednesday or Thursday...

The 17 year old kid is going to court on Thursday at 1:00pm which I was given a subpoena to appear. I am hoping I find out more information then to see if I will ever see any of this money again... I will let you know what I find out and of course I will post pictures of the final job.

Picked the car up this morning, I am really happy to finally have the keys back in my pocket after a long 13 days without them :(. I went to court yesturday and the kid waived his rights at the district court and is trying to make a plea bargin, if he plea's he will be ordered to pay 100% for the damages he did. This is what I am hoping for, if he doesnt plea then it goes to the circuit court for trial. The prosecutor is almost positive that it will not go to trial which is good news. Anyhow heres what the car looks like now...

Yeah but if I dont get the money back I wont be very happy. This was not the way I wanted to spend my $1000. That was suppose to go towards my paint job!
