My son is about to start his first year of T-ball! We took him to his evaluation on Saturday and the little tike did well! His fielding and throwing need work, like all of the 5 year-olds but his throws were arrow straight just need to work on his throwing motion to improve velocity. On fielding he doesn't attack the ball yet but he knocked down everything that came to him. His hitting was impressive. They each got to hit 3 balls and all 3 of his went through the air and landed at shortstop position and rolled. This was good enough to be top 2 or 3 off all the 5 year-olds there. As he ran off the field I heard all the coaches there yelling #4!? #4 was the number they gave him so it sounds like he will be high on the draft list for this Thursday. I'm proud of my boy and it should be a very fun spring. Here's a pic of the next Michael Young...would have taken more pics but I was too excited and my dad was recording the whole thing.

 man way to go - sounds like slugger is awesome - man i remember the days my kids played ball - in fact one year my oldest was playing flag football and i would go to the practices and games and then one day the coach couldn't make it to the next game (can't remember why, your talking many many many years ago) and asked if i could fill in and couch the next game - i said sure and the team really wasn't that good but they always had fun and enjoyed it - but anyway during the game we where losing bad (like normal) and i decided to make sure every played equal amount of time and threw in some trick & exciting plays for the kids and man the parents went berserk and starting yelling and what are you doing (like is was going to make a difference in the game anyway), I mean the parents where terrible, but man the kids had a great and fun time that day - and to me thats what counted :rockon::rockon:

Yeah I'm really lookin' forward to it. I can't wait to see what he can do out there, especially since he was hitting into a very strong and cold wind that day as you can tell by the face Cole is making in that pic lol.
