Just throwing some ideas around, the rear end swap will happen becuase I want better gears then my 3:08 and I also want a POSI rear end. Headers will probably be coming shortly as well cause they are cheap and easy to install. A cam swap would be something I woud love to do but not sure if that is something I can do on my own without pulling the engine.

The cam swap can be done without without pulling the motor, but you will have to pull everything in front of it. Alot of 3rd gen guys do the 4th gen rear swap, but remember that 4th gens have different back spacing on the wheels. So putting your 3rd gen wheels on there would push them out and leave a gap between the inner fenderwell and the inside of the wheel. I've seen on TGO that a 3rd gen 10 bolt can be stengthened to handle 350-400HP for about $800. However you decide to do it, it looks like you've got good taste. ;);)

So if I remove the radiator and fan and other crap in front of the engine I can pull the cam right out? If that's the case then DAMN I gotta get started on that, I have heard that you will see some of the best increases with a new cam in these cars...I think I have found a good lead on a rear end from a third gen Iroc with POSI and 3:42 gears I am just waiting to hear back if he wants to sell it or not...But if not I think I will go with a 4th gen I mean it is a direct bolt in and I kinda like that stance it gives the thirdgen cars...
