Hey guys I have a 305 TBI motor in my 1992 RS camaro, I am planning on changing things up right now. I recently purchased a open air element for my TBI but I am planning on changing the whole thing over to a TPI motor. What do you guys think? Do you think it is worth the money and time to change it over? Will I see any power or better increases?
Any input, tech articles or anything you guys can help with will help me!
Thanks,
Darren

Hey thanks! Spent a good amount of time in my class tonight reading that article! Which is good cause I absolutely hate my class! So basically don't hate on the little ol L03 haha! I think my plans may be changing and I may see what I can do to get a little more kick outta this thing and run down some mustangs and 350's on the street!

And if you do ever decide to switch to TPI, you could step up to the Holley Stealth Ram for a reasonalbe price and not have all the problems of the factory TPI.

I was actually told tonight that switching to TPI would not benefit me one bit! :idunno: But the guy I was talking too LOVED carbs and thats what he suggested if I plan on putting some more mods on the 305. He actually praised the TBI 305 and said I know it has poetential espcially after he saw me running down LT1's and other 350's :D. I had to explain that my car isnt 100% stock as it looks...

Yeah TPI isn't necessarily popular among most hot rodders. But all you gotta do is look at what some of the guys on TGO have done with theirs to see that no matter what induction you use, research every single detail and TPI or TBI can be as good as anything.

Heck yeah dude. The way I see it, if you spend 700 bucks to change induction, that will usually only get you stock performance. But if you spend that cash on what you have, you are $700 ahead. Kind of the same deal with people that tell us to throw our 305s on the trash heap.
