I might be pulling the fuel injectors off of my car this weekend if necessary. Should I do a how-to? It will be my first time, but I'll take pics and maybe it will help someone one day. Unless somebody has done it before and can already make a how-to...for someone like me... :idunno:

i think it would be great to have a how to thread on that and hope everything goes good for you - if you need a how to manual you can give a pm shout to cars01010 and I'm sure he can email it to you

I may just dive in head-first and see if I can figure it out on the fly. Shouldn't be too difficult, I've just never done it before.

I've done injectors before not on a thirdgen but their not too bad. You should be able to change them without a problem! Take pictures and post em up!

Well I got a good start on the pulling the fuel injectors. But I need a set of needle nose pliers that are very thin, but relatively long. I broke one of the clips that locks the injector into the fuel rail trying to use my needle nose pliers that wouldn't really fit under there. I didn't get very far with the injectors because I ended up having to disassemble the TPI again just be able to unbolt the fuel rails. So my motor kinda looks like it did when I took the pics I have in my photo album when there was no plenum behind the throttle body. I ohm'd 3 of the injectors so far and they all appear to ok showing 16 ohms resistance which I believe is in the range of normal. The one injector I pulled off had no build-up of any kind on it so I'm guessing they're all going to be ok. but none-the-less I'll go ahead and pull them all and visually inspect them and ohm them out. While I've got them off I have to figure out if I'm gonna put them back on or upgrade to 21 or 24 lb./hr. injectors. At the very least I need to replace the upper and lower o-rings and get a new set of upper clips for them. I noticed the passenger side had a different set of lower clips on them from the driver's side. So I'm not sure what happened there. I also changed the fuel filter yesterday and saw what looked like the original filter even though I thought I had changed it before. But I guess not. I've been taking pics of everything and trying to remember wrench and ratchet sizes so I can post how-to's for the stuff I'm doing. Hopefully what I'm doing now will help someone in the future. The fuel filter change how-to will be up in the next day or 2. I'm going to a car show next weekend so the Camaro will be on hold for a week. But my dad gave me his old dremel. So I will also be doing a how-to on porting a TPI plenum. :bates:
