Which generation of Camaro is the best for a complete build on a budget of ... $12,000? I'm thinking in terms of best all around street/strip perfomer and can look good doing it?

I vote for 3rd gen since they are not coveted among collectors yet and that is keeping the entry price down. Also they are very similar to 4th gens so swapping in an LS1 or whatever is within the budget isn't too difficult.

im sayin gen 2 on that budget. they are easy to find, and usually really cheap. and they are not as popular, so parts are cheaper it seems. dunno. love them third gens though.

i say 3rd i have yet to find any other gen thats cheaper thats still in good shape around my area
